Choreography for three dancers which raises issues such as perfect beauty and the ideal body, through video projections on the body of the dancers
Since the discovery of electricity and gas light, the body has emerged as a light body, where images are projected. After two solos, Madame K (2004) and Lui (2005) Nicole Seiler created in 2006, Pixel Babes, a choreography for three dancers. In this new performance, issues such as perfect beauty and the ideal body are raised through video projections on the body of the dancers.
Divided in ten scenes, Pixel Babes shows us common places of representation of the body, from the videos of Jane Fonda and Cindy Crawford to the themes of fashion world, plastic surgery and video clips.
Choreographer and videast, Nicole Seiler was born in Zurich in 1970. Besides her activities as choreographer for dance and theatre, she works as dancer and actress. As a multimedia artist, she created various photographic works and video projections.
