Between the shadows of Miles Davis, the Black Prince, and the light of a future that is approaching at high speed, the Norwegian trumpeter Nils Petter Molvaer, has been moving, as few, in the vanguard of this "new conception of jazz". Conciliating image, electronic and acoustic instrumentation, programming and improvisation, jazz sounds of Molvaer on trumpet to the rhythm of various languages of current electronic, from breakbeat to techno, from ambient to drum and bass.
The concert in Lisbon is, given its context, a special occasion, and therefore will be one of those unique moments, this time with the whole band and an 'image score'. Jan Martin Vaagen explores a range of improvised visuals using live cameras, sampling of images, videos and light, creating a visual environment that shares the same energy as the band.
