Between 1926 and 1976, Alfred Hitchcock made fifty-two feature films. In thirty-one of these films, the same director appears, making special figuration, once in each movie. In two of them, The Lodger and Under Capricorn, appears twice in each film. In Lifeboat, your photo is placed on the "before" and "after" ad, in a newspaper. In Dial M for Murder, Hitchcock can be seen in the photograph of a group meeting.
On The Wrong Man, narrates the prologue of the film. For The Rope, was made an neon advertisement with his profile - brand image of the television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents - to be placed on the facade of a building.
The diverse and eclectic array of appearances by Alfred Hitchcock in his work, start by the lack of people to do special figuration, and eventually become a signature - still going to be a superstition, a gag, a joke, a game and a focal point for possession of the viewer's attention which is usually called "Cameo Roles," an idiomatic expression that refers to short roles, but expertly played in the movies.
In this chantier, Catarina Campino and Francisco Camacho intend to take as a starting point this disturbing feature in Alfred Hitchcock's work, comparing them with their respective authoring universes.
