Created by ARTE France and La Ferme du Buisson, Scène Nationale de Marne-la-Vallée, in order to stimulate dialogue and artistic practice of the Performing Arts and the Motion Picture, Festival TEMPS D'IMAGES has inspired artists and promoters who never had met before, to work in a variety of new projects in partnership with the FESTIVAL TEMPS D'IMAGES.

Nothing is "unique" in the relationship between these partners. Festival TEMPS D'IMAGES became a privileged means of supporting individual artists. The organizers provide participants with a networking, boosting the circulation of their works, where each artist lends his experience, ideas, discoveries and cultural perspectives.

Temps d'Images is the only and major annual festival in Portugal, bringing our partners and sponsors to a higher level of excellence.

:: A European festival
As a project supported by the European Commission under the programme Cultura 2000, reached a network of ten European countries, thus becoming a member of one of the largest cultural networks in Europe.

:: A festival in Portugal
Since 2003 in Portugal, has been always co-produced with Centro Cultural de Belem.
Currently the most renowned cultural venues of Lisbon, are partners of the Festival Temps d'Images: CAM; Cinemateca Portuguesa, Culturgest, EIRA 33, Espaço Alkantara, Maria Matos Teatro Municipal, MNAC – Museu do Chiado; Museu Colecção Berardo, Negócio e São Luiz Teatro Municipal.
In addition to this partners, the structure that organizes the festival have the support of DGArtes, and also funding from ICAM and CML, and with the support of EGEAC, the GDA, the French Embassy, the IFP, the Institute Cervantes de Lisboa, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and other sponsors such as BES, Jameson, etc..

As the primary objective, the recycling of all aspects of art, through the meeting of art and its creators, resulting in the presentation on stage of unique and inspiring premieres.

A broad program, combining the presentation performances, video installations, films, projections, exhibitions and the Film Awards for films on art, always with the aim of giving stage to the young artists.

:: Prestige
The production and programming of works of the most respected names in the art scene nationally and internationally, contributing to recognition among the public and the media as a festival that provides the artistic quality. As an example than "Silence" by F. J. Ossang (proposal and production of the festival), which was awarded the Prix Jean Vigo 2007, and subsequent call for the submission of the Cannes Film Festival.
