Synopsis

ESSAYS FOR BOOK-CHARACTER is an investigation in five essays. It is based on the double meaning contained in the word character. If on the one hand character is a typographical symbol, on the other hand if we look at the Greek origin — KHARAKTER, we find the definition in the metaphorical sense of "mark, print or symbol on the soul". These essays will approach light and body as characters and will take two distinct forms: a scenic form and an editorial form — artist book. Stage and book understood as places of essay and provisional writing.
